On May 22nd, 2012 Nirmala Gyawali received a special 'Medal of Honor' from the government of Nepal in recognition of her tireless efforts to help uplift people with disabilities and many other marginalized people. Attached is a photo of Nirmala with her sister, Sita (Nirmala is on the left) and a photograph of the medal that was awarded.
